Familylinks' Vintage Center for Active Adults Receives $325,000 Grant from Local Share Account (LSA) State Gaming Funds

Pittsburgh, PA – (October 28) – Familylinks is pleased to announce that its affiliate, Vintage Center for Active Adults, has been awarded a $325,000 grant from the Local Share Account (LSA) funded by Pennsylvania state gaming revenues. This generous support will allow Vintage to renovate its facility, enhancing the center’s capacity to serve older adults and providing them with opportunities to remain healthy, active, and connected in their community.

The renovation project will address critical updates to Vintage’s facility, allowing it to better serve the evolving needs of older adults in the Pittsburgh area. Vintage offers a wide range of services and programs designed to promote wellness, prevent social isolation, and enhance quality of life for seniors. With this funding, Vintage will be able to expand its activities and resources, furthering its mission to support older adults in staying active, engaged, and independent.

“We are incredibly grateful for this generous gift,” said Stacey Vaccaro, Familylinks’ President and Chief Executive Officer. “This funding enables us to make necessary improvements to Vintage’s physical space, ensuring it remains a vibrant, welcoming place for older adults in our community. These renovations will help us better meet the needs of our members and create a more accessible, safe environment for all.”

The Local Share Account funds represent a commitment by the state to reinvest gaming revenues back into local communities, supporting projects that benefit public welfare, safety, and community development.
