Familylinks Partners with The Kind Communities
Pittsburgh, PA—Familylinks has been chosen to partner with The Kind Communities (TKC) to help students identify nonprofits to join and to help Familylinks connect with other community organizations and corporations.
TKC is a student-led organization dedicated to advancing philanthropy among the next generation. TKC informs students about the initiatives of chosen nonprofit partners and empowers them to select a nonprofit with whom they feel passionately. TKC also organizes initiatives such as charity drives and volunteer programs to help bring communities together to address critical needs and ensure resources are distributed where they are most needed.
TKC recognizes Familylinks’ mission of positively impacting lives through integrated community, behavioral, and social programs and chose to partner with Familylinks to raise awareness of this essential mission.
Familylinks is one of Pittsburgh’s largest, most comprehensive, and most respected human service providers. The agency has served Western Pennsylvania for more than 65 years, bringing vital support services to the most vulnerable members of our community. Familylinks was formed in 2001 by merging two of the region’s human service organizations, The Whale’s Tale (est. 1970) and Parent & Child Guidance Center (est. 1956). As a result, Familylinks provides a vast array of services that address the multi-dimensional and complex needs of individuals and families.
To fulfill Familylinks’ mission to positively impact lives, a continuum of family-centered services is delivered across 24 Pennsylvania counties in the areas of aging, behavioral health, service coordination, and youth and family services.
