Familylinks announced today that the agency will host the second annual Strong. For Life Luncheon with
two-time Penguins Stanley Cup winner, Kevin Stevens, on April 2, 2019, at PPG Paints Arena. This year,
Mr. Stevens will be joined by special guest, Dr. Lonise Bias, mother of basketball star Len Bias who died
of a cocaine overdose just two days after being selected as the #1 Draft Choice of the Boston Celtics.

Familylinks also announced that Jeffrey J. Conn, Esq., Member in Charge at Clark Hill, PLC will serve as
Honorary Chair for the event again this year. Mr. Conn commented, “I am very pleased to accept the
role of Honorary Chair for another year. I look forward to continuing to work with Familylinks and Kevin
to extend their efforts to a larger audience, delivering essential information for addressing the opioid
crisis which is destroying lives every day.”

Frederick A. Massey, Jr., President and CEO of Familylinks, stated, “In our Vision we believe in the worth
of those we serve, and look to assure that all children, families and seniors in western Pennsylvania have
the tools they need to be healthy, happy and strong for life. Thus we have brought the title, Strong. For
Life, to this important event. Along with Kevin’s powerful message of prevention and education,
we offer decades of expertise in addiction treatment and recovery, including our Suboxone Clinic,
housing programs and family counseling.”

The luncheon’s program will be focused on providing effective information related to preventing
addiction, and to offering assistance to corporate human resources and employee assistance staff,
health professionals, community groups, parents, church groups, and civic organizations in
southwestern Pennsylvania.
