The Journey to Independence Recovery House program is a short-term housing program to help adult women with a history of substance use to quickly regain housing stability. It is not a voucher program and the short-term housing is not to exceed 90 days. The Familylinks Journey to Independence Recovery House program will assist residents in connecting to long-term supports in the community, which they may access following the completion of Familylinks services to promote ongoing housing and recovery stability.
Who is eligible?
In order to be eligible for the program, the family must be referred by Allegheny County Department of Human Services. The resident must be an adult female 18 years or older with a history of substance use.
