At Familylinks, our priority remains the health and safety of our clients and our team, and we continue to take measures to protect against the spread of the COVID-19. Last week we made the decision to cancel all events and suspend volunteer activities until further notice. This week we have made the necessary modifications to our programs and services, in accordance with guidelines set by local and state government, so we can continue to serve individuals and families in western Pennsylvania.

As public health officials assess the risk, we are closely monitoring the spread of the virus and evaluating potential implications. We will continue to share all updates on our website and social media pages.

Familylinks Names Marianne Dimatteo Chief Operating Officer

Pittsburgh, PA (May 14) – Familylinks announced the appointment of Dr. Marianne DiMatteo, MSW to the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). With extensive management experience spanning over two decades, Dr. DiMatteo brings valuable leadership to Familylinks’ executive team. As COO, Dr. DiMatteo will lead the development, implementation and oversight of Familylinks’ programs in terms of process, enhancement, financial success and efficiency.

“Dr. DiMatteo joins Familylinks with a wealth of operational management experience,” said Frederick A. Massey, Jr., President and CEO of Familylinks. “As Familylinks continues to evolve as a diverse service provider to a vulnerable community of children, individuals and families in western Pennsylvania, we are thrilled to have Dr. Matteo on board to evaluate and improve our programs to ensure they are operating efficiently and effectively as we seek to expand services to meet the ever increasing and changing needs of those whom we continue to serve.”

Prior to joining Familylinks, Dr. DiMatteo was the COO at the Community Guidance Center in Indiana, Pennsylvania. During her twelve-year tenure as COO, she provided oversight to thirteen mental health, substance abuse, intellectual disabilities and early intervention programs. Prior to her work at work at the Community Guidance Center, Dr. Matteo spent seven years at the Family Center for Children and Youth where she positively influenced the lives of foster and adoptive children across the state of Pennsylvania.

“As an individual who experienced the foster care system as a teenager, I am honored to be assuming a key leadership role at Familylinks where I will have the opportunity to influence the lives of children and families in western Pennsylvania,” said Dr. DiMatteo. “I am excited to bring my passion for program development to my work with Familylinks and am honored to be joining the team.”

Dr. DiMatteo earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Saint Vincent College, a Master of Social Work from California University of Pennsylvania and a PhD in Administration and Leadership Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
In her free time, Dr. DiMatteo enjoys spending time with her husband, Steve, her three children and two grandchildren. Dr. DiMatteo and her family spend time boating, camping and motorcycling.
