Letter from the CEO
Dear Friends:
Over the past few years, we have been working hard, determined to create a brand, and ultimately a website, that would define us honestly and effectively. In hindsight, I can't help but wonder if we could possibly have known just how profound a choice ours would be.
Strong. For life. Perhaps we felt that strength embodied our unwavering commitment to our programs - programs such as our Family Treatment Centers, Supportive Housing, and our Outpatient Alcohol and Other Drug Programs -- that have seen steady and consistent progress, ending with our passing a rigorous review with flying colors by the Council on Accreditation.
Ready. For life. Perhaps we anticipated several years of great change and the need to bend, react and redefine our methods, while remaining true to our mission.
Healthy. For life. Happy. For life. Health and Happiness - two virtues bestowed on the most fortunate of us all. Perhaps we understood the need to put things into perspective - to remember to be thankful for our own health, as we seek health and happiness for our clients.
Perhaps this is all true. Yet, while thinking about the last couple of years, marked by economic decline, political milestones and national unrest, it all became quite clear. For with all of our chosen phrases: Strong. Ready. Healthy. Happy. one constant remains: For life.
For life. It would define a growing commitment to an agency that continues to succeed, inspire and change lives for the better. Equally as important, it would define our supporters' commitment to Familylinks. The sum of all these parts is clear in our mission statement: Familylinks provides integrated family-centered services focused on behavioral, social and developmental health issues -- for you -- for life.
Sincerely,
Frederick A. Massey, Jr.
